ARTICLES: a, an, the

Els articles (The articles)

Els articles en anglès són: a/an i the.

• L’article indeterminat a/an equival en català a un, una. S’utilitza davant de noms ensingular, mai davant de noms en plural. 

L’article a s’utilitza quan la paraula següent comença per consonant i an quan la paraula següent comença per vocal. Per exemple: a car / an apple

Recorda: 

Exemples: 

There is a book on the table.(=Hi ha un llibre a sobre de la taula)

There is an elephant in the Zoo.

• L’article determinat the equival en català a el, la, els i les.

The boy (el noi) The boys (els nois)

The girl (la noia) The girls (les noies)

Exemples:

The film that I saw yesterday was very funny. (la pel·lícula quevaig veure ahirera molt divertida.)

This is the T-shirt that I bought last week. (aquesta és la samarreta que vaig comprar lasetmana passada.)
